PTI Machining, Inc. was founded in 1993 for the exclusive purpose of producing ultra-high precision Swiss screw machined parts. The mission of PTI is to dedicate all of its skills, talents and resources to produce the highest quality products at the most competitive prices in the markets it serves. The company was located at 2521 North Wells Street, Delphi, Indiana, a pleasant town of approximately 5,800 residents. The company then moved to a larger facility located at 5395 West 200 North Delphi, Indiana. This is an ideal location since it is centrally located in the Midwest, near Lafayette, Indiana and midway between Indianapolis and Chicago, and allows PTI to serve all the major industrial market in the central United States. The founder of the company, Mr. Jim W. Proffitt, is an expert machinist with over 30 years experience in the screw machine business. The key managers of PTI have over 65 years combined experience in the engineering and production of screw machine parts.
